About JSS Nalanda

Skill development and vocational education for all

Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) Nalanda works towards empowering neo-literates, school drop-outs and underprivileged communities through vocational training and continuing education programs.

Originally launched as Shramik Vidyapeeth in 1967, the initiative later evolved into Jan Shikshan Sansthan under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India.

Mission

To enhance occupational skills, create sustainable livelihood opportunities and strengthen social awareness among youth and rural communities.

Vocational Trades

Career-oriented training for youth

Every year, JSS Nalanda organizes vocational training courses in approximately 13–14 trades for neo-literates and school drop-out youth between the ages of 15–40 years.
